Dr. Rhonda S. Ellis has been an inspiring educator for seventeen years in higher education and a leadership coach/trainer and consultant for five years. She finds value in being both a professor and a practitioner. She has been a professor with American Public University System (APUS) for seven years. Prior to APUS, she was an assistant/associate professor and the founder and director of the healthcare management program in the College of Business for ten years at Harding University. Prior to the academia world, she worked in physician practice management for ten years. She is a Doctor of Business Administration, Management/Healthcare Management with a specialization in organizational leadership. Her dissertation topic was Spirituality and Job Satisfaction: A correlational study among nurses. Her research continues with a grant from APUS in 2010 continuing the study of nursing and the correlations of spirit at work with job satisfaction, organizational culture and commitment. Research is one of her passions in the area of leadership and organizational behaviors.
She is also the founder of INTOUCH Coaching, LLC with coaching/training and consulting in leadership, spirituality in the workplace, change management, generational collaboration, emotional intelligence, and organizational culture. She holds a Spiritual Intelligence Coach certification through the organization Deep Change and a leadership coach, teacher, speaker certification through the John Maxwell organization. She is an active member in the Academy of Management. With the recent move to Northwest Arkansas, she is looking forward to becoming active in a local church and other organizations to give back and serve her community.
